GENIUS STEM Camp for Blind Middle Schoolers – Phoenix Overnight Program

The GENIUS STEM camp is an exciting new overnight program for blind middle schoolers. Hosted by Saavi Services for the Blind in Phoenix, Arizona, this week-long experience helps students ages 11–15 explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on activities.

🔬 What Makes GENIUS STEM Camp Special?

GENIUS stands for Growth, Exploration, Nonvisual Innovation, Unique STEM. This camp is specifically designed for blind and low vision students who want to dive into STEM. Moreover, students will learn using nonvisual methods and adaptive tools in a supportive environment.

Because the camp focuses on teamwork and exploration, students gain more than just technical skills—they also build confidence and independence. In addition, they’ll make new friends and learn from blind mentors who have walked the same path.
