InTandem is a New York City-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing tandem cycling programs for individuals who are blind, have low vision, or cannot ride independently due to other disabilities. By offering accessible and adaptive sports opportunities, InTandem promotes physical fitness, socialization, and community engagement. Participants enjoy evening and weekend rides in Central Park, paired with tandem teammates based on skill level and riding preferences. Founded in 2013 by Artie Elefant, who lost his vision to retinitis pigmentosa, InTandem continues to honor his legacy by creating an inclusive environment where individuals with disabilities can experience the joy and freedom of cycling.
