Birding By Ear is a unique opportunity for nature lovers to experience the sounds of the great outdoors in a whole new way. Hosted by the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, this event is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to identify birds by their songs and calls. Led by experienced birders, participants will learn how to distinguish between different bird calls, from the trills of warblers to the melodious songs of thrushes. Whether you are a seasoned birder or a beginner, Birding By Ear is sure to be a memorable experience.
Cost: $20 per person; scholarships to cover registration fees are available – request when registering.
Class, hybrid virtual or in person — Thursday, April 27 at 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. – noon
In-person field trips — Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. and Thursday, May 11 at 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
